San Antonio Christmas

With a family like mine, scattered across the country, get-togethers are by no means automatic or easy. It's especially tough with mom, who lives down in Texas. Despite the distance, we are unanimous about where we like to meet: San Antonio — about five hours drive time for her and about the same, by air, for me. In the early 90's we started what became a tradition of meeting up here in the historic heartland of Texas. The weather is consistently pleasant, the food is great, and there are lots of things to see and do.

Over time, we were joined by her husband, Roger, and Theo — to form an easygoing nucleus of four.

And at some point in the future, I'll add these and other marvelous pictures.
